soo, I’ve gone and lost my only keys when walking the dog, I rang a dealership and they gave me a 4 digit code that a locksmith can cut a new key with, but the locks Smith says he will also need an Eka code, car is locked so where could I find this?
I have Hawkeye couldn’t I just use new key to open and disable alarm with that?
Thanks

I didn't think the EKA code was related to the key, other than you need the key to use the EKA. The key doesn't know anything about the EKA code, but you do.

Did you not make a note of the EKA elsewhere (ie, outside the vehicle) ?

Car is double locked so if he cuts and opens It the alarm is just going to go off right, can I disable or get the code from my Hawkeye once it’s open?
D2 btw

Unfortunately not, but if he cut a key he could use it to enter the eka in the door lock right? o_Oo_O

I'm gonna to back off this one now as I don't have a Hawkeye, so don't want to give you duff info.

However, rather than getting access to the EKA code once you're in the car, can the Hawkeye code the new key to the vehicle?

Addition, yes, if you have a functional key, you can use the EKA (if you knew it ;) )

Not sure if Hawkeye will allow access to bcu when it’s “locked”
I wonder if it’s still on the handbook inside the car o_O
Thanks for the input though ;)

You're probably right about not being able to code a new key while it's locked...

Good luck finding your EKA, let us know how you get on :)

You can always get the EKA from a main dealer, but they'll need proof of ownership, which by the sounds of it might be in the car with the handbook

Remember that the EKA code is the final level of security, so you really shouldn't be telling anyone what it is, even the locksmith.

Well final update, rememberd I had the original purchase receipt for the car that was passed on to me, just thought I'd check it and it had every code i needed.
Locksmith came and cut the key, tried entering eka but no noises, turns out I only blipped the key once so it didn't super lock, so it just opened and started. I programmed the new fob with my Hawkeye and all working good, was a genioge fob too. But that dog walk cost me £280 :mad:
