HI,
Sorry.. I will be posting quite a few posts to help get the Freebie back on the road.
I have been trying to finish off where my nephews messed up 3-4 yr ago with my (terminally Ill) dads Freebie.
On the LH Side under the bonnet, there are two (apparently) gearbox wires.
From the RAVE manual - one is for the reverse lights (and linking them out puts the lights on) the other (listed on the RAVE manual is C0618. (Hill Descent 1st Gear) Red/White and Black.
However; the gearbox linkage isn't connected up yet, and the gearbox has only one switch.
even better than that; the switch is too far away to connect the reverse light wiring.
Where the Hill Descent sensor should be; it is blanked off...

so... is the hill descent required??? is this wire an optional extra??
How the hell do I get the Green / GreenBrown Wire to reach a switch which is too far away to connect?
or...
Is there a reverse light switch towards the back of the box somewhere?
I'm almost inclined to think that the useless boys changed the gearbox too (for the wrong one).
Thanks In Adv. Guys.
Wayne.

Sorry... Found the reverse light connection above the Inner CV Joint... - Doh!!!!!

lol.
the problem I have at the mo... i'm working with the thing on the floor, sat on it's wheels.... so it's kind of difficult when you don't know your way around one of these.... doing it all by touch!!! :-(

Yeah... probably because the numptys didn't do things properly... if there is a bad way to fit an engine and leak oil everywhere... my nephews did it...
