HiDeeHi & Sarah90 Birthday Wales Trip 21st & 22nd June 2014

20th, 21st and 22nd June 2014

Sarah90 & HiDeeHi Birthday laning trip to Wales. Will be B&B, but that horrid camping is probably available as well . Plenty of beer and Strata, Happy Valley, Wayfarer and Pheasant steps at least. We are staying at Oswestry on Friday Night then running down to Strata Sat morning. We will then work our way north staying staying Saturday night in Aberystwyth.

This was limited to one group but we can now invite everyone :bounce:

There will be sandcastle competition at Midnight, possible pier jumping and 3 lots of cake (two birthdays and Sarah90 and Daves anniversary )

There is a room paid for in Oswestry for Friday and a reservation at the Aberystwyth hotel if anyone wants them.

That's a hell of a lot of road driving. I don't want to put you down, but il put money on you not being able to do strata, happy valley, wayfarer and pheasant steps in 2 days without either doing silly hour days, especially with more than 1 group.

I'd concentrate on doing better lanes than taking the extra drive upto wayfarer. You will lose so much laning time by doing that

I'd do strata, nant y moch and then happy valley, much better weekend

We did it on Funkykippers trip and this time we wont come out of the bottom end of Strata as it makes it a very long tarmac trip. Intention is to drive Strata both ways

+1 on that.

Doing the lanes is doable ( long but doable ) BUT when you add a late finish on Sunday to a 3 hour plus drive back home then it starts to be not as much fun !!

I agree, but we always put plenty on the route, its easy enough to end it early when everyone has had enough.

I will try to put the ones we really want to do early on both days

...just searching fleabay for a new cb so I can do more than just listen to everyone this trip and I have ordered my strap and shackles

Glad you reminded me Sarah, I need a new aerial, I trashed mine on Parkamoor at the weekend

Only two weeks to go

Started to do the route, of course Zip might already have done it

What a pleasure to be able to put anything I want on it. I thought I was going to have to tone it down, but now I dont have to
