I had the same knocking noise last year in my TD4,R/H Side when turning a bend.Then a few months down the line it turned into a violent shaking when cornering and going straight.Right hand drive shaft went on me.Had a new one put in and have never had a knock since.

My Knowledge about repairs end at the brakes:o.So I wouldnt have a clue where to start.
