As far as i know the only difference between a commercial and a private hippo is less seats on the back so the ventilation system is the same. I have closed mine with rags and improved the flow on the front parts. I have left them closed with a temporary fix since I plan to put a self amplified...

Try switching between 'Air recycle' and 'Fresh Air' and see if it makes a difference. if it does it might be something clogged in the inlet

Planning on taking the vcu out this week so I thought I would search. Is it a bad idea to take the vcu out leaving the propshafts in place? Or maybe take the vcu and rear prop out?

I am planning on leaving the handbrake to be operated manually when it is unhitched/parked. Not keen on having brakes on it while hitched though. I have seen empty trailers lock wheels while braking and it scares me a bit :)
