Can anyone with a V6 reply with their actual cooking fan start temperature to confirm RAVE ?

Thanks I just checked the note from the KV6 Rave and it seem my fans are only turning on at max speed only. Does yours do the same ?

According to Rave, the cooling fan should start at 90c. Mine (V6 engine)?are only starting when the coolant temperature reaches 105c. (According to ODB2). Can someone confirm their fans start at 90c?

I would look at live data from the maf sensor to see what it is seeing. The e throttle is right Next to the Maf sensor. Do you have the rave manual ?

Are your fans running properly now? I have the same behaviour with my cooling fans as you describe.

Nodge68 I am seeing the same problem with my fans not starting till the coolant temp is around the same (according to ODB reader) Did you figure what your issue was?

Which gearbox is in, the original or the replacement ? What do you mean the oil pump is not running, what happens for you to say this .

Also the TPM and automatic transmission must be compatible (due to the speed sensor removal at one point in time, if needed I can dig up my previous post where we found the exact partnumber). What year was your own Freelander and what year what the Freelander that donated the transmission ?

Could it be tappet noise ? (Valve spring) You are talking about the tick tick tick sound and not the one that sounds like air leaking out at high pressure right ?

I sprayed soapy water on the belt and I had the exact same problem and the noise went away. The bearing on the tensioner wheel of the serpentine belt is worked in my case. I confirmed after removing the belt. I still don't have the tensioner wheel changes though. Hopefully the soapy water...

Rock auto has all the parts available which is what I used. The KV6 belts and tensioners and thermostat is very similar to a Honda J Series V6 except for the additional back two can belts. I found his video very useful when I did mine:

On my NAS Freelander V6 both the printed diagram and the actual fuse are 30amp on position FL10. Car is 2002 never had an issue with that fuse. See pictures.

If you have a North American model of the V6, I can check my 2002 to tell you what amperage my fuse is. Let me know if you want the info.
