I would agree that Hippo's test would be the best one that every owner can carry out, it was the test I used as I found the tippex test a waste of time. I used a 1.2m bar and 8kg of weights = 45 degrees approx 20secs.

I don't think it's a problem with the fob or the immobiliser, first place I would start at would be the starter solenoid if all the electrics are coming on. First thing you need to check for is when you turn the ignition to 3 is there 12v at the solenoid, there are only 2 connections but it will...

I stuck four nails in and mine came out easy enough.

Check the water temp sensor the leads might have come off or the sensor is faulty, easy to find follow the top rad hose down and you will see it to the right of the pipe.

I got the air shears and the cut off tool for the amount i'll use them they are a bargain. They are all the same as Clarke products just rebadged.

Ok got a new pipe, it's not OEM as nothing in stock however this one is 100% better than the crap that split, this one is made of the rubber I would expect to see on any car and reinforced as it should be. The old one wasn't even the correct shape the curves were wrong which was putting strain...

It has a new engine, most likely HGF at some point so you could be correct, I'll just have to see what an OEM looks like in comparison as juiceyV8 has said.

Not sure, there were no obvious markings to indicate if it was replacement OEM or original fitted part, even as new I don't think it looks up to the job it just seemed like a very thin silicone.

Are genuine Land Rover pipes any good or has mine been fitted with a cheap piece of ****? Top rad pipe split today right at the bottom bend, couldn't find anywhere open with a replacement so bodged 2 pipes from another car together, did the job :-) The original pipe was total **** real thin...
