I got a Disco to complete the set, I had a Mini,Allegro,TR7 and a Series 3 Landy. The most reliable by far.... the Allegro. The worst my Disco TD5.

I will not buy a used car from wet and cold areas of the UK eg Wales NI and most of Scotland .They usually have been exposed to more water and salt, optimum areas are Cambridgeshire Northants etc.The coastal areas should of course be avoided.

I replaced my Disco 2 with a Mazda Tribute I have had no problems with it but is much smaller than the Disco. I am glad there is no ACE/Air suspension to chuck money at.

Just got rid of my Disco 2 I feel like a great weight has been taken off my back. No more ACE, flywheel, abs and fuel leak problems. It was a pleasant thing to drive but cost about as much as a helicopter in maintenance.

Success on Tuesday, National Windscreens came and the guy was a Landy owner he did a good job and fitted a new trim.

I have given up with autoglass and I booked with another outfit they came round and said we have no trims and drove off. I may start looking into doing this job myself.

Just an update on this ,still no screen from Autoglass .I have even suggested to them that they can replace the windscreen and I will find the trim.

Its a horizontal crack just below the mirror about a foot long on the drivers side, I am in Cheshire. I am complaining to my insurer as they say I have to use autoglass or I have to pay an additional excess. So if I go elseware I will have to fight to get my credit card reimbursed and I bet they...

If it was my Hotchkiss Jeep or my old VW Iltis I would just fold the windscreen down but this big fangled thing does not have that option. That reminds me when I had my VW Iltis I cracked a wind screen and located one the same day and fitted it 2 days later. Progress?

No its on a TD5 but I cant see much in the way of trim that needs replacing.

I arranged for Autoglass to come and replace my Disco windscreen they took my £75 pound insurance excess and said they would do the job yesterday,an hour later the local Autoglass centre rang me and said they did not have the trim to do the job and he had checked nationally and non were...

Try unlocking from the inside and snatch the outside handle quickly I did this rather than brute force and it opened ,then wd40 then oil and all was ok.

How much does this pipe cost?
