Well tried everything by the book it's full of fluid about six litres,,, when I start the disco from cold it works forward reverse ok ,then I'll get a screeching noise after two three minutes and it'll drop out of gear and won't acknowledge any gear selector change after that going to speak...

I've dropped the sump today drained the oil the total amount was 2.5 litres and rust brown but the excess dripping from the box after sump removal was quite clean anyway got it all cleaned up just waiting for delivery of the filter ect , what amount and correct filling process please can't find...

Hi was talking to the right guy yesterday, because my discovery 2 V8 2000 auto would not engage in any gear , as suggested I checked the cable all is ok brake lights working was low on fluid about litre n half run the engine processed through the gears put another 1/4 litre in run it again...

By the way all the correct gear display on dash ok when selected , and the two green flashing M,S warning lights they do go when ignition off then on but appear when gears deleted thanks again.
