Hi All My series 3 keeps jumping out of 4th gear changed the dent springs its got a 2.5 n/a defender engine fitted what other gear box will fit please any help. Regards Wilbur

This is my problem jumps out of 4th gear feels like it has a tooth missing. How hard is it to rebuild the gearbox and where would i get the parts where is the numbers printed on my gearbox its a series 3 2.5 n/a 1976. All help thankfully recived.:(

Hi all Q- when i go over a speed ramp or pot hole the steering whobbles all over no problems at speed just over bumps any idears.

A BIG THANKS to all for the help mate will pull the half shafts for me as im disabled hes good with anything like that says he will sort it all for £20 so i will get him a few crates of beer to as local landy bloke wants £30 a hr + parts and says its a long job. Once again thanks...

Had a mate round he says the fr/diff looks like its never worked and the back/diff has given up the goast so it looks like 2 new diffs requied.:frusty: A big thanks for all the help.:)

Put the landy in neutral chock under wheels both props turn dose this mean that both props have had it or both diffs. The free wheeling hubs are engaged so will i need two props and two diffs. Thanks for the help

I have had a mate check the over/drive its engaged ok The 4 wheel drive is engaged but i forgot to do the hubs so will try in morning thanks all.

Hi Again yes it has free wheeling hubs i will engadge in morning and try if it moves dose that mean its the rear diff thats gone. If it dosent what will i need to look for after that.

Hi All this is my problem pulling out a junction their was a clunk then no drive can get all gears and the drive shafts are rotating when in gear but wont move. tried 4 wheel drive and put in overdive still wont move any help please.:confused:

correct but the one he sold me came straight from britpart so someone packed the wrong one at there end :doh: its had a new one fitted and all seems ok now :) thanks all for the advice :D:D:D

Thanks all F**** BRITPART sent the wrong lift pump and its snapped the bar that runs off the cam so i am getting one from a decent l/r supplyer

Hi mate if its the same problem i have had it was running fine then over a day went down to a crawl 10 mph . I changed fuel lines from tank to injector pump changed fuel filter flushed tank and changed lift pump STILL THE SAME . Advanced pump still the same so removed pipes one at a time while...
