ah, yes possibly but the holes on the new mantec plate are outside the internal 'square'...just had a look at the picture of my old door during the rebuild and there is no internal plate or evidence there ever was...no holes either...not sure how to upload images onto here...

negative, the plate supplied by Mantec goes on the outside of the door and is to big to fit in the square hole inside the door...

Morning, I am wanting to fit a mantec spare wheel carrier to my defender 110, however ive had the rear door replaced with a new one which is blank so doesnt have any of the original holes or fittings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. rgds warren
