hi all, my car is starting to sagg on the rear passenger side corner when it has been turned off for a couple of hours. i think it is a leaky air spring and can get them cheap second hand but how can i depreasurise the eas system without testbook to fit and remove the springs ?

i have just seen this transfer box on ebay and it looks like the transfer box has to be removed before the motor can be replaced ! it looks like the drum is in the way of the bolts...

ok will do, if need be i could do all these jobs myself as i have alot of tools and im handy with a spanner, but a helping hand from someone who knows more about the p38 than me would be great. oh i forgot i am still trying to locate a second hand transfer box motor so if yours goes missing you...

thanks, i will pm you on a day and time best for you to see if you can get low range. i would of thought that these motors would be easy to free up and repair once removed ??

i did everything exactly according to the manual. while stationary i depressed to gear lever button to stage 2 and moved it across to low range and waited for the lights to stop flashing which they did not until i moved it back over to high range.

that would be great, i also have the auto box oil and filter change to do and lift pump to replace, oh and a engine oil and filter change ! i bet you wish you kept quiet haha.

when i change the motor will i have to change the oil in the transfer box also ?

i tried driving at 2-3 mph and change into low range gears but it didnt work, looks like i will try and get a second hand motor, are they easy to remove and fit ?

i will give it a go in the morning thanks,will that possibly get the motor working ? my manual says not to change over at any speed. i will do some searching on the transfer box motor.

hi , i have tried to use the low range gears today but they wont work. i have done everything by the manual but it wont switch over to low range, the lights just keep on flashing. anybody know what icould be wrong or what i am doing wrong ?
