2006 range rover sport diesel
When started the car fires up great and idle just fine. However when pressing the accelerator to rev the engine it lags/bounces through it and even when holding it at a set rpm. When allowed back to idle it idles great. When driving it does not accelerate like...

My avatar is my Disco 1 which is heavily modded
My Range Rover is completely stock
I went ahead and ordered control arm bushings plus sway bar bushings. Given the condition of some of the bushings I can easily check, everything could use a replacing. I'm almost certain there is so much read...

06 Range Rover Diesel
Rear suspension is giving some issues
When driving it feels like the rear end of the vehicle shifts/floats to either side when turning/veering left or right. Like when cruising along a road that isn't totally straight but needs small left and right adjustments I feel the...

One correction leads to another. Just the way of modding.
Making the selection on height is a big decision. I want to go with 2" since it already has 4" body lift. Need to get the 38" tires to fit. The springs will need to be a selection that don't have that much easy travel distance...

Can't believe I didn't see this reply.
I'll be getting a full suspension kit that includes front and rear cranked radius arms. I'm still undecided on which to get as it seems I can on,y pick between 2" or 5 "

Hadn't done anything in a while due to work and being cash poor. Got to finally order the wide angle rear drive shaft last week and installed it yesterday right when it arrived. My stock one exploded few months back so I couldn't do much with the car since it also needed to go through yearly...

38" tires. There's also 4" of body lift. You can see it in my build :D
Suspension is on the list. It's was all done by previous owner.

Last weekend I was out on a cruise on the highway during a beautiful day to get a feel for my car again as its performance was a day and night difference since fixing a bunch of performance issues (serious leaks, seized wastegate, valve/rocker adjustments) and also seeing if anything I over...

Pfftt. Ok, everyone can have their own way and style but huge rims on low profiles seems completely counter to what G wagons are meant to do. They are luxury vehicles but they are still designed for ass kicking.
I'll stick with my 15" rims on 38" tires :)

Not sure when or how it happened. A chunk of the friction disk removed itself. I first noticed it when I had the motor out and saw there was disk material in the trans. When I got the clutch off to put the motor on the stand I saw the full damage. Never noticed anything was with the clutch...

Well after much waiting and various hangups along the way I have gotten the green beast back together and driving. It runs sooooo nice now. Doesn't sound loud like a tractor anymore after I fixed the last of the exhaust leaks which happened to be a huge one. No more clattering noises from the...

I ended up doing it the way I was thinking and then adjusted everything by rule of 9. Went perfect. My engine runs better than ever. Literally. Definitely better than when I had first bought it.

You could be right but even when ignoring the valve opening amount and focusing on the push rod and rocker, my starting point isn't there. In my mind as I visualize what you're saying with the rod at its highest point and then set the tappet, the valve doesn't move. They are all closed. The...

I think I got it figured out. I ended up going with my thoughts:
While rotating the crank I watched each push rod rise and fall. When the rod is at its lowest point, wind down the screw tappet in the rocker arm until the ball end is in the rod cup and valve cap face of rocker arm is touching...
