Ratty I've checked all the relay contacts and fuses-all are ok As for it being immobiliser, I doubt it as its been de activated and this doesn't explain why I have no glow/engine light and why I can't get any communications to engine ecu with t4?

I assume it is a petrol (1800) engine? If so then i would think the exhaust has broken off below the catlytic converter where it joins to the downpipe. This is a very common problem on ther 18k engine and they can usually be welded back up :)

Certainly wont cause any harm. Could use some very fine (p800+) wet and dry with some wd40 to lubricate or the green side of a sponge will do the trick :)

Hi Guys, Have a td5 defender at the minute that is baffling me somewhat. On a few previous occasions it has refused to start, turns over fine but no fuel pump running and no engine/glow plug light come up on the dash. In the past a simple case of turning it off and back on has cured this up...

Hi Guys, Sorry but my first post is going to be one asking for some help im afraid! I have a 2004 v8 range rover which i noticed had a bit of play in the water pump last week and a very slight leak, no problem order a new pump fit it myself, sorted. I ordered the pump and while waiting for it...
