earth dirty or fooked causing back feed check the earth on both plugs:)

on the front of the fuse box use a test light or meter and with the ign off look for the loom with 5 wires its the only one near the drivers door these are from the ign switch cant remember of the rop of me head which one but test them all you will have a starter wire a live wire and a ign live...

Mate you will get a true ign wire in the fuse box or ign live from the front of the fuse box .

Its a amplified system mate you cant just go changing wires you have 2 options 1/ rewire from the head to under the seat or to each speaker 2/ do a search for adapter kit for said stereo to standerd think autoleads and connect2 do kits for them.

Think the bill for this will be sore as it goes in on monday.The freelander has lost 4wheel drive and slides all over the place with the tc light going mental he is not a happy chappy but if its fooked i have picked out the bits i want for mine so not a total loss haha also well said chromiumuk...

There is a lot of people on the M8/A8 Glasgow that were glade I had a freelander when they were getting towed of by it in 2ft of snow may not be a defender but still does a job if used correctly may not go mud pluging but helps stranded motorists.

Wasn't on my motor mate was on a punters but if you google headrest screens it should give you a few links look for the ones with the screen and head all in one think the whole kits about £250 possibly cheaper if I can find the link I will stick it up

Hi mate i have done this the screens with dvd have the cables through the tube on the headrest allready if you unclip the fabric under the seat takes two min then put your hand up to catch the cables and get the ign feed from the center console never run cables around a door seal major fire...
