I can see the place where it goes just fine. I just cannot figure out how the switch goes back into the hole without breaking. I could force it probably, but that would almost definitely break the mechanism. Surely someone has a more detailed explanation of how to get it back in without...

Can anyone explain how to get the brake light switch re-installed in a Freelander?? I removed the original one blindly with a twist/pull motion. But I can't get the new one back into the bracket that holds it, and looking at the shape of the hole the switch is supposed to go through, I can't...
