    I have had a belt shred itself in double quick time. I had to buy a 'fix kit' which realigned tensioners etc. Belt turned to candy floss in approx 2000miles.

    I usually put as much tension on the breaker bar as I dare and then get an eager assistance to hit the business end with a hammer.

    Pulled another door apart to weld. And looked at the Swiss cheese chassis to weld or to replace!

    Everything works as it should they must just be spares? I'll utilise the permanent live with a volt meter and bury the rest then. Cheers

    I'm getting to grips with the 'adapted' wiring on my 1989 110. Few left over plugs I can't deceiver despite searches and Haynes on my knee. Some ign live/perm live etc but they look genuine so interested to know if all spares or if she has lost something through the years. Red and red/white...

    Ive done it again, ive had 90's and a 130 but ive bought my first 110. Its a 1989 land rover converted to a 300tdi engine and gearbox. So the spending begins.... it needs a few things but came with 12 months MOT so it is really cosmetic and sourcing a few doors.

    Wheel stuck!!!

    I've resorted to loosening the nuts fractionally and driving back and forth in the past!!! Keep up with the rotating 90 degrees and hitting rim, the time glue will eventually release.

    Timing belt problems

    I had this on a M plate very early 300tdi defender. It was a misaligned pully which was remedied with a new kit which included new timing case. The belt was chewed and looked like a birds nest of stripped rubber.

    Parts and accessorises north wales

    I'm in Flint and buy everything online. The local land rover part dealers are too expensive and most things are delivered in 24hrs.
