It may be hard to cancel insurance but you can drop it down to insured with no road use and remove the reg plates👍

A caveat regarding insurance. If you only have the one car insured in your name and you cancel the insurance on it because it's not in use, you ae likely to lose your no claim discount. It did not affect me as I had 3 vehicles at the time.

To change the Carte Gris to "Voiture de Collection" I always cancel the insurance if I have a vehicle in storage.

All the insurance companies say that but as far as I can see, if it's on private land it's not necessary, my MR2 was in storage for 15 years or so uninsured. Direct Assurance are cheaper than Credit Agricole.

Thanks Norseman, Yes agree that she will need to be looked at structurally and will start with getting her over to a trusted mechanic to look her over and give me a verdict. Worth a punt, I think!

OK thanks for the info. We were told by Credit Agricole that a vehicle had to be insured even if off road. Not like SORNing a vehicle in the UK.
