    the place were the sport was bogged ( its been recovered now ) i know like the back of my hand , only a couple of year ago there was a team of agriculteral contractors replacing fenceing and they got 2 6x6 articulated tractors bogged and had to be winched out the ground is very soft and peaty...

    :):) 4.236 was bad enough but even worse was a piece of junk a mate of mine bought which had a york 6 cylinder thrown into it , that one even made the perkins conversion look refined :pound:. rick.

    :eek: personally i wouldn`t put k seal in a leaky bucket the stuff is ****e and will create more problems than it solves , if an aa man had suggested putting k seal in my engine i`d have shut his fingers under the bonnet :rofl:. rick.

    the mitsubishi 4m40 engine is an old tech engine it puts out 125 bhp with the mechanical pump or 150 bhp with the electronic pump although the later pumps can give problems . i work on these engines all the time and are generally a reliable unit , they do have a reputation for cracking heads but...

    thanks for the info mate your a star :) , im slowly finding my way around these motors , i was just gobsmacked that i was able to just change the lock set without any immobilisation issues :confused: . rick.

    my car is a 1998 4.6 hse ( R reg ) the doner car is a 1997 4.6 hse ( P reg ) . i dont have the lock set bar code unfortunately and the lock set and becm was changed recently in the doner P reg car as i have an invoice for the replacement so , im thinking that the dealers wont have any details...

    just had a thought here are the nas rf recievers available in this country ? or am i going to have a major search on my hands ? . also the fact that i was able to swap the lock set without fitting the matching becm unit does that mean the becm fitted in my car isn`t locked ? . rick.

    as already mentioned any head gasket changed should be carried out on both banks with any vee engine , ive been a mechanic albeit on hgv`s for 40 odd years and would never do just 1 bank :( . rick.
