No, I think you're on about the heater plugs on the cylinder head. Core plugs, are literally just a plug thats tapped into the block so that if the water freezes it will push the plug out instead of damaging the engine. Either that or they just corrode and leak. The plugs are highlighted in red...

A worn clutch or a problem with the hydraulics can give these problems. Try bleeding the clutch slave.

Series 3s boxes have syncromesh on the gears, There probably worn. Replace box, or find someone to rebuild it.

Never tried it but would'nt normal washing up liquid (in hot water) and a scrubbing brush work? washing up liquid is a surfactant and should separate oil. Or maybe washing powder. Or find a paint thats a very similar colour :D

I don't know about getting a longer prop but, what about running paras with normal shackles? Parabolics and shackles will both jack the bus up, if combined too much. Also won't the prop run a chance of touching the crossmember when going over awkward ground?

I know which ones youre on about, round and castellated. I definately used a socket, I think it was the castellated part that gave the socket grip.

When it came to undoing that nut on mine, im sure I used a regular socket that seemed to fit well enough, they should'nt be that tight.

Yeah it was a bit of a pain changing mine, I found undoing all the bolts (two on the top and four on the plate underneath) and then using a socket large enough to cover the spidle but small enough to pass through the chassis and a jack to jack it out of the chassis.

I think there may be adjustment at the steering box? but what I would do would be check everything for play, including the swivel housing king pins, and replace all the oils in the steering box and relay.
