Hello,
Nothing wrong with LPG - I've been running my '87 on it for nearly 6 years. It's never backfired or gone wrong and paid for itself within the first 9 months. Just make sure it is fitted by someone who knows gas.

Hello,
try these - if it's the remote receiver causing the BeCM to wake up you will find out all about it. The red gear indicator light will stay on for about 2 minutes after Rangie has been locked and will go out when the BeCM is asleep.

Hello,
Use another battery and jump leads - have a look at http://www.rangerovers.net/rrupgrades/battery.html - it's easy if you go steady and have decent leads which don't slip but make sure you know the codes before you start.

Hello,
What was the problem? Did the new receiver cure it?

Hello again,
No conflict there.
If you take off the plug with the single wire which is the aerial lead, then the receiver will only activate if it hears a signal that is strong enough that an aerial is not needed - i.e. putting your remote against the rear window will still operate the locks...

Hello again,
Don't worry about a switch yet - if your problem is with the remote receiver, take out it's plug with the three wires and you should find that Rangie goes to sleep normally.
