What defender do you have? there are different holes on different axles/models etc

So next job. Looks like the bulkhead foot wells are shot to bits. I take it I just get replacement foot wells from someplace like YRM etc?

I had similar issus on my 1998 300tdi. Turened out to be massivly frayed cables between the engine compartment and the rear. The connectors that run down inside the chassis. Like everyone else says get an auto electrician to take a look. I did teh same as you and took it to my local defender...

Besides having worked for 35 years its nice to have a break that isnt holiday and i can just putter about doing the odd jobs.

Just heard back from my garage. Its a land rover shop. TDV6 engine is Kaput. Unfortunately he doesn't do engine swaps. Going to use London Engines. Anyone had good or bad experiences with them?

Well it wasn't the battery. Just fitted a new Yusha HSB019 Silver from Halfrauds. 5 year guarantee so i suppose that covers that bit.Now getting the EGR fault code P0405 and P0405 P. There is a mid pitched whine when i try and start but nothing else. Time for the garage me thinks
