just finished replacing cables on freelander window,took me 2 b''''''dy hours but kit from d-bay was only 7.90...very fiddly but theres a u-tube vid that shows how (he does it in 1 minute!!!) ho-hum.

Hi mate, I just replaced the selector pin with a M8 bolt and locking nut, nut goes on top as theres not enough room to get the bolt in from the top. Took about 15 minutes and gearchange now like new!

:mad: Just rebuilt front end of new (to me!) v reg freelander 1. Started her up and tried to drive. gearstick is allover the place, and cant locate reverse. there is so much travel that the stick is hitting both sides of the console. Also pass window won't work! Help please. ps, it was delivered...
