I will try not to. I'll ask a mechanic to be there when people come to view it. Bribe them with dinner and beer.
-
Both. Defo can’t do it myself and I just need/want a more economical car to run fuel wise.

Thanks for the response. It’s definitely not rotten as that was part of the £5k I first paid for it. I will take it to my local Landy garage for MOT and see if they can sell it as they have loads of contacts. As much as I love it. I need a cheaper car to maintain and run and don’t need such a...

Hello all. My other half and I broke up over Christmas and I have been left with the Land Rover Defender 110 I bought three years ago. It's a 2000 model, TD5, County (I think). I'm just about to put it through its MOT (needs a new windshield) and then I need to sell it as, sadly, I cannot...

Ah thank you. I will do that.

We don't have those hooks. We will sort it out and call Exmoor trim on Monday. Thanks for everyone's help.

It's hard to fit the canvas at corners, too.

No, ours is just a bolt on.

That's what we thought but ours came with no hooks to put it into. it looks like a skirting board almost. Smooth. We'll just buy a couple of hooks Couldn't get the tailgate on because it's been modified so need to buy a couple more bits. My other half has been a star about it. bless him...

I'm converting mine to a soft top today and, please, if anyone can tell me where I'm supposed to loop the belts hanging down from the canvas into, please let me know. I say I'm doing it but my other half is actually doing it and i currently hear him swearing at it. We watched Exmoor Ttrim...

Thank you. It does feel like I know why when i watched all those movies where they're wrestling with the steering wheel, i now know why!
-
Ah ok. Thank you everyone. Other half says the reason it feels like its all over the place is the tread. I just prefer a narrower wheel and I'll either sell the others or keep 'em. The most off-road I do is fields as i run a flock of sheep.

I'm thinking of regular Land Rover alloys (my 110 has 235/85 R16). Here it is from the front. I may keep these as they're barely worn down but on regular roads (I drive it to work three days a week but that's only as 12 mile round trip) it feels all over the place. I coiuld be imagining it.
