.... The Series Landies are the only ones without permanent 4WD (well the Flatlander sort of has). The central diff lock on Rangie/Disco/Defender/110/90 just makes it behave like a Series in 4WD

It's 3 weeks since anyone posted on this thread. Can I hijack it? My S3 hybrid has a 2.5 N/A which likes about 20 secs on the glowplugs before cranking. In cold weather I find an extra 10 secs helps. Is this normal? If I need to service the engine which are the easy parts?

.... Mine are the same. And you wouldn't believe the state of the roof either. IIRC the Series III Owners Club originally designed the plastic window channel. Dunno if you can get it from anyone else tho'

..... Hmmmm. Hadn't thought of that. Main prob is there's only 4 fuses in the box so must be running multiple circuits on each (or maybe there's lots of unfused circuits - :eek:).

Poor ol' S3 hybrid ain't too well. Specially the lectricks. I'm thinking about a total rewire and maybe adding some extras like reversing lights. So, since I used to be an lectrickian in a former life I might as well design and build the new loom myself. Problem is I've got no idea how much...
