I am not a mechanic, but the guy who looks after my car has suggested loads of potential causes, this being one. He didn’t say if it was a difficult job. What’s your view?

The first three times it just expanded like a ballon, this time it caused the end to come away from the body. It’s obviously a pressure problem but we don’t know how or what.

Hi all, I have a Freelander 2 TD4 GS and over the last 4-5 years I have had to replace the inter cooler 4 times. The mechanic I use is baffled by this and after asking around has not come across anyone that has experienced this. Has anyone experienced this or know the reason for it happening? Thanks
