I did the unthinkable and changed battery whilst MK3 sat nav was powered so now have white screen. Anyone have fixes or suggestions to repair (in UK). If not will BMW MK3 work OK, can it be changed to Range Rover splash, off-road etc.. Would appreciate any help.

Freelance.....seems good to me as runs and starts fine when warm. Appears to me as if there should be some sort of auto-choke for cold starting - I am not familiar with the injection system, but plenty of pumping the gas pedal gets it started!! Tony

Digger...already had a new battery, dist cap, plugs, but no better!!

Just had an overheating engine resulting in a head gasket rebuild (+ belts/skim/head bolts etc). Runs fine but is now really difficult to cold start (hot start no problem). Need to churn starter and pump gas pedal and then it eventually catches. Any suggestions really appreciated, before...
