problem solved! There was oil in the top of the cylinders causing a hydralic effect when trying to turn the engine obviously unable to compress the oil therefore unable to turn engine past the compression stroke my freelander is now up and running once more cheers Tom

My td4 is in the process of getting a new turbo fitted after it failed and allthe oil was being lost through it. After its all back together the engine won't turn, it will turn backwards but only half a turn forwards. Any help much apprieciated cheers Tom

Right, I'm 99% certain that it's the turbo but has anybody got any advise on how to remove and replace? In the haynes manual they say to remove the intermiediate reduction drive. Is this really needed? Thanks tom:(

Thanks for the offer Dann but I think i have changed that, is it just behind the injectors held down with 4 allen screws with a little blue filter in it? How much will a new turbo be andwheres the best place to get one? Cheers Tom
