Yeah I did order the wurth studs/nuts. What size it best to tap these 2 holes I have to drill? M10?

yeah, I looked it up and a lot of people say use a stud extractor, but it hasnt worked and think I had rubbish extractor as well, the studs are snapped below the recess so think it might have been hard to weld.... but thats just been taking, a diy mechanic ;) just dont know what to do :(

Hi,
Im just swapping out my warped exhaust manifold (I know usual story on here) and I cant seem to get the 2 x snapped studs removed. Ive centre drilled them, tried using stud extractors, but wont move. Ive actually buchered them abit now :(
Does anyone have any further ideas? or know...

Ive just lifted the rear end of the car and held the diff input then spun one of the wheels as Dunc suggested and the other wheel did spin in the opposite direction. Looks like it might actually be working, so going to fit the prop shaft this weekend and see what happens

Thanks for the info, im going to lift the rear end tomorrow and run the tests. It was a used prop shaft a bought, I was told is fully working and condition does look ok.

Wondered if you can help with some advice.
Basically I bought my first 4x4, which was a 1999 plate freelander 2.0d. This is just to be used as a car for my wife at the stables, so only a farm/2nd car if needed.
I bought it private and the guy told me it was definitely 4 wheel drive...
