Hi Folks I wonder if anyone can help? 2007 Defender 110 Central locking only working now on front two doors, not the tailgate or two rear doors. I assume they can't be on a separate fuse? any ideas why this is not happening would be gratefully recieved Cheers Togg

Sorry for not coming back, been travelling a bit. Can't tell you who did it, my local garage handled it and sent the box off to London to be re-conned. two week later it is still stiff on the first start but as you say I think it's air so will try to sort it out Thanks folks

Hi Folks I fitted checkerplate to the 110 about 6 months ago and it is now looking rather tatty, I wasnt expecting it to corrod so quickly. Does anyone know the best way to clean it and stop it happening again? Cheers and happy New Year all Togg

Whilst i wait till the festive season is over and I can sort out a recon box, can anyone tell me what level the fluid should be? I cant find a level indicator anywhere so topping up is a bit hit and miss. BTW been told by the local Landie chap (Dingocroft) that adding fluid to the puma engine...

Thanks folks, if it carries on leaking (which is fairly slow) is it OK to leave it a while, say till after Xmas so long as I keep the level topped up?

Hmm, I guess that £587 would be about right then you add the fitting and hey presto the magic £800... :-(

Can anyone adivise me on this? The steering box is leaking and I have been told it need to be replaced, they are quoting nearly £800 for a new one??? First off how urgent is it, and secondly is that the right price/ I have been told it could be re-conditioned which will be a lot cheaper so...

I would agree, that is certainly where it is ending up, but the source is as elusive as Stratstone dealer when you come in to complain!

Well a weekend spent filling putty behine the door seal again... waiting...watching the drips come in then re-filling again... so far so good, not sure I can shut the door properly dur to the amount of putty now, but hey we are getting there! might have actually solved it now...time will tell
