Thanks all, the company who supplied it say it has a bleed hole inside...…. When I asked if its 'marked on the body where it is' got no answer so will take it out and check it at the weekend. Possibly change it for a better one. Will follow the procedure above to bleed it, this time trying not...

I just topped the system up via the expansion tank, put the cap on and warmed it up, then topped it back up.

Hi Any ideas on the common place for water to get in the rear, these seals are very expensive so wondered to start with the lower door seal or the hard top seal? Its tracking in on the drivers side, only just started, been dry up to now. Advice appreciated.

It opens under vacuum and send exhaust gas back around the turbine into the engine. You find it on the right had side of the engine, very visible, round and has a vacuum pipe.

Thanks all, well she now has a new valve fitted so we will see Friday how she fairs on the MOT. Must admit, she did run far better with the EGR delete on, so it may well go back on at some point.
