A mate of mine recently bought a 96 Disco for £350, the ignition barrel was ripped out after someone tried to nick it & it needed a tyre. Lovely it was, he sold it to another mate after he sorted it for £700. They can be found, mostly by word of mouth with other LR owners.

I could be wrong, but I don't see the Jimny as a weapon of choice for many serious long range expeditions across almost impassable terrain. Good vehicle as it is, it aint HEAVY duty. But HEY..that's just me.

The faint smell of damp / mud / oil, the many rattles & whines, the way the water runs down the inside of my door, the dimly lit green dashboard & the song of the diesel on a long drive home at night. That's what makes all the Land Rovers I've had. **** knows why, they're great aint they? :)

I've just bought budget Enduro A/Ts (not retreads) 265/75/16 for my 90 & apart from a bit of rubbing on full lock, which I'll sort out when I get time, I'm chuffed with them, done miles in the snow & ice with no probs.

You can't service it, get a new one they aint expensive. If you're sure it's gone.

Does the K series have a throttle position sensor or idle control valve?

Sounds like a U/S Cat, you could try some Cataclean or Catguard & see if it helps.

Mine's been the same for the last week. I've got a good 096 battery on her & she's spinning well but won't engage, so I've just bought a new starter.

Dwarf or some other object tangled around something? Or maybe a chain slapping against something metal?
