Hi folks
I've just had a CV replaced on my 300tdi defender and the mechanic suggested I should get a new drive flange as it was worn.
Could anyone advise me on which one I should buy? Are there quality issues relating to different makes?
Many thanks

Hi folks, I need to fit a new CV joint to my 1997 300tdi Defender 90. As I want to renew everything associated with the CV Joint I thought the kit might be a good idea but then I am being scared off the Britpart kit by various things being said about the quality of their stuff.
Does anyone...

As I'm reassembling the 90 I'm looking at areas like this and wondering what can be done with it to tidy it up? I've rubbed down the corrosion but wondered if I could cut the bottom 10mm off the panel to create a straight edge? What do the majority of people do with these scabby areas before...

How do folks,
Is there anywhere else where the loom branches off after it enters the chassis at the front? Or does it go in at the front and out at the back without leaving the chassis anywhere else?
I'm just wondering if I have to undo anything else before pulling the loom out at the...

Hi folks, I've just taken the crossmember off on my defender and wondered if there were any gaskets or plastic spacers to go in between the new crossmember and the lower body panels?
If not what is the best way of prepping the area before reassembly?
Cheers

It is definitely bound up with mud as I can see inside the chasis through the rubber grommet hole...
I may just cut it and hold it out of the way
Thanks again chaps

Cheers guys, I have taken the rubber bungs out...
I may just cut it and re-solder them when it all goes back together

I've tried pulling it from the front so the rear end of the loom goes into the chassis but it doesn't seem like it'll go easily...

Hi folks,
I've started to strip down the rear of my chassis to put a new crossmember on and I can't seem to budge the wiring loom.
I'm worried if I pull it too hard from the front it will damage the loom.
It has all been stripped away from the rear lights etc and goes into the chassis at the...

Hi folks,
People were telling me before I purchased my insurance that it would be expensive. I was pleased after getting a quote from Lancaster for £268 fully comp... I'm 33, no no-claims and limited to 6000 miles a year. It is limited as I cycle to work and its just a toy. It will come with...

So guys, it looks like I have owned the land rover not even a week and it is having a new cross member... ;)
I've taken the exhaust off (one bolt had to be hacksawed) and the mudflaps (one bolt had to cut off), I am no in the process of taking out the loom.
Is there anything else I should look...
