Think I have found the answer......
.....it's for a disco or defender with a Salisbury axle due to the diff nose being longer, the propshaft needs to be shorter.
-
Picture now added, any other suggestions. Are the disco 2 props different between manual and auto?
-
Just bought a double cardan front prop for my d1 off eBay and have just realised it's too short. It measures about 555mm closed and 600mm extended.
Any idea what it will fit onto so I can put it back on eBay listed properly. It has the same fittings to fit onto the d1 using the d2 transfer box...

Cooper stt 285 75 16, it had 35x12.5 inch creepy crawlers when I got it.
It already had the lift when I got it with quite a lot spent on it, so don't really want to lower it, I would rather replace the uj's regular than lower it.
-
Yes front radius arms have been upgraded, it's actually a 4 inch lift not a 5 inch.
Have you a link to the prop you bought please?

Because I do a lot of shooting and lamping across muddy fields as well as needing to get down muddy tracks to feed the pheasants during the winter, I know it would make sense to have 2 cars but my wife doesn't drive and it would just be an extra expense keeping them on the road and then the...

I have a disco 1, 300dti commercial that's been lifted about 5 inches.
I do a lot of road miles and a bit of driving down tracks and feilds but not any hardcore off-roading.
I am sick of replacing uj's in the props, front and rear. The front prop was only replaced a few months ago and it's...

Hi mate, not sure if you remember but earlier this year we had a lengthy conversation about a winch anchor that you could make that may store on my spare wheel carrier on my disco 1.
You were going to get back to me or I was going to get back to you, can't remember. Anyway its that time of year...

I've got led torches and they tend to be quite focused even on the widest spread, that's one reason I asked on here for recomendations from people who have them, the manufacturers/sellers don't seem to advertise the degree of spread.

Sorry, I should of been more clear.
It will mainly be used so I can see behind me when reversing.
I do a lot of shooting on farms and revering in/out of gate holes and and turning round in amongst buildings, it's simply so I can see where I am going and so I have a light behind me when...

I am looking for a work light for the back of my disco commercial, with it being a van it must light up the areas I can see in my mirrors.
It must have a wide spread and light up the area at the back of both sides of the car so I can see out of both mirrors for reversing and not stick up any...

Quick update, checked clutch fluid and it was empty, topped it up and bled the clutch, the biting point is further up and the pedal springs back up like it should do.
I will have to keep my eye on it to see if it's leaking and find out where its leaking from.
-
As I was dropping the wife off at work this morning something wasn't right with my clutch.
It seems to have hardly any resistance for 3 quarters of the pedal travel and after pushing the pedal all the way down it only lifts back up about a quarter of the way back before it struggles to push...

Think my suspension is working ok, tested it out with a forklift today
