The fuel tank is new (long range) and was drained other day, plus was full of fuel. It has since restarted without pressing the cut off switch. The pump was new and an original part, I believe the injector pressures are as they should be. Apparently when it cuts out all power to the ecu (ems) is...

Hi ok I really need some help here mechanics out here aren't so hot....
So I have a 2004 d2 v8, its been in storage in Africa for a year, asked for it to be run regularly but assume it hasn't.
Had to do few bits n bobs to get it good to go on our return journey to UK. Fuel pump, brakes...

Great thread, I have 2004 and its showing signs of rot at back end was hoping to treat it with dinitrol then it would last few extra years what do you think

Point taken, fuel here is 95ppl and drops to under 50ppl in one country, naturally I fill every crevice when we get it cheap like that

Well don't I feel smug! Tbh it dropped to single figures in the soft stuff and got 15 plenty if times too but I like to remember the figures around 20, makes me justify the v8 more!

I thought a good certified LPG fitting was ok... Trouble is fitting yet another tank. Got 125l main tank 80l water tank and 2 jerry cans, plus missus

I love the v8, running costs are a concern but carrying 3 tonnes we got 21mpg at times. (Downhill with wind behind us!) can't get LPG outside of civilisation though, apart from USA haha get it

I stand corrected, apparently you can put a Nissan v6 diesel in a d2, thought if I was to change chassis why not go the whole hog....??

Don't think it fits, looked it up earlier, in their wisdom lr changed most things with the d2 but kept it looking almost identical
