When you bought this motor did you go to his house to see it, hope you never met him somewhere else like a car park or something.
If you went to an address was it the one on the log book for the car.
And how long had he owned it. If the log books not in his name or he has only had it...

Well I might be lucky I suppose and it is the newer TD4, would not have had one as a petrol.
I know a couple of others with em as well and they don't seem to have to many probs either.
Perhaps Wiltshire is a Freelander happy owner zone.
Mind you one other thing is that I am only the second...

:D No, it's stood out the front covered in muck, it gets a regular visit to Salisbury Plain and the Ridgeway is just up the road from here.
I am a photographer and do a lot of work in Scotland photographing castles and scenery so I am always up and down tracks and stuff.
Next trip to to the...

:D and you go on about how unreliable Freelanders are and how many problems they suffer from.
I have had my Freelander about 18 months and all it has cost me is the price of an MOT, a service and 2 tyres :)

I spent all day driving around salisbury plain the other Sunday and at no point did I part with £30
In fact all I ever paid to drive around there was about a fiver for a landranger map :D

didn't take long at all!
Just not here 24/7
I have a life you see

I been hiding in the bushes with me camera for a while ;)

Christ, couldn't afford to keep all 3.
Would either be the disco 3 as option 1
option 2 would be the freelander and a 110 for a toy.
good thing is the current mrs kergan don't drive so I would have both to myself
-
mind u the freelander has been good off road but nothing to harsh thrown at it though. Not enough ground clearance really.
-
at the moment im thinking of upgrading.
Had a go in a 2006 discovery 3 the other day, was very impressed. But also thinking of perhaps keeping the freelander as it has been no probs but also buying a 110 for playing around in.
Although I have to get that idea past the current mrs kergan!!

they got some serious kit.
-
it is getting difficult to go anywhere these days.
Down here we have the Ridgeway, but most of that is closed now to 4x4's and motorbikes.
The ramblers blame the state of it on the off roaders but it's the bloody big tractors that drive along it to get into the fields that have ruined it

was just thinking, when I was up in dumfries a few years ago there was a car rally going on. Some Scottish stage of some big rally (can't remember what now)
Anyways they were rallying through a forest few miles away from dumfries and I was wondering if you can get up there for a bit of...
-
so are there many places to get off road up there
-
by the way bus, where is it that you live, is it dumfries or near to it?
