If I've done this right there should be an attachment. If so this is the same set up as mine (not my vehicle though). I'm wanting to position it in that hole just above its current position.

Eyup you lot, I'm wanting to lift the position of the trailer socket higher up to the rear crossmember (that offside oval shaped hole) , where they are out of the way of all the crap. I've been out and had a look at the crossmember for mounting holes for a bracket, but no holes jumped out at me...
