Hi! Yes, the engine has been in the car. I have to weld the oilsump to make it fit over the P38 axle (EAS+Diff..) Engine has been fitted to the gearbox, and everything else has been modified to fot into the enginebay of P38. I have to do more work on the electronics. The company that is fitting...

Hmmm.... maybe Land Rover wont, but there is another way also.. I already have the engine++ and it is possible to get this approved without LR. I will have to find all info myself, but when its done its done... Just as info, a P38 cost £10-15000 in norway... Stage 2 tune-up? I already have...

Yes, that was my tought too... I have bought all parts, and started to bouild up my RR from scratch again. This time with RR Sport front lights, grille and bumper. The plan is L322 rear lights and bumper also. (cannot use Sport rear because of the angle of the lights and the missing "Tea table"...

Yes, it is the same pattern and dimensions.. It is basicly a M51 with larger bore/pistons and common rail. Only problem i can see is the ECU and EWS system, but that can be solved with patience...:cool:

M57 is the same engine as TD6. Would like to get this into my P38. Cant see why they cant give out a statment that this engine also can be used in P38. But, in Norway it is fuc....ing Volvo that has all sales and service of LR. Thats why i had to ask them.. So, my question is if someone here can...

Keep all the water you can get! You will need it when your engine gets to hot when pulling a trailer :D

Anyone who knows how to get this approved? I have the engine, and want to get this approved either from LR or Tüv. Have spoken with Volvo cars here in Norway and they will not give me any papers that this engine will be ok in this type of car. Do anyone know someone that has done this and have...

The dealer has a problem. He talks about something he dont know anything about! The easy way to be "smart" is to talk crap about everything you know nothing about and seem important.. (Arg! should have been writing this in norwegian i think :) )

Check connections on both sides. Behind the fuel cut off switch there is a white connector with 15 pins. These are often green and all eaten up. Same on the other side. If you fix these i dont think you will have this problem as often..

If this could lighten you up a bit... I bought another P38 today, so now we have 2 DSE and one HSE. My newest DSE, a 97 has the same rattling sound, and the previous owner got a qoute from LR to fix it. They say there is no other way than to remove the top to change the timing chains... price...
