I went to my local aquatics and bought some sealent that is used fir repairing leaky fish tanks as it can be used in wet conditions so you haven't gotta try and dry the seal out. Stopped mine leaking a treat !

I haven't yet checked them but I was thinking if it was them surely it would make the noise on tick over and when you accelerate ?

Definatley not exhaust as since i've owned it i've put a complete new system on it including de-cat pipe.The noise was there before i put the exhaust on and is still the same now with the new system.

Yes,exactly the same.I was hoping after I fitted the cambelt it might of stopped. Living in a dream world I suppose!

My 300 Tdi has had a ticking/tapping noise since i've owned it. I've now fully serviced it and fitted new cambelt kit and aux belts. The noise only happens on deceleration.It doesn't do it on tickover or on acceleration so is a bit hard to diagnose. :confused: All suggestions welcome please as...

Don't bother doing rebuild. I did the lower seal kit on mine and it was worse so ended up changing the steering box ! Do yourself a favour and change the box.

Spotlights.I already have foglights in the bumper.

Evening, I want to fit some spotlamps to my Disco 96/P 300 TDI ES. I've managed to get some of another Disco down the scrappy with the proper plugs on.My question is should my loom have these plugs on so I can just plug the spotlamps in ? Thanks

Sorted now. Found the correct MFU and now everything works !!! Yippee

All sorted now. Got one from Silverlake scrap yard near Southampton. They have a R Reg 300 Tdi ES in there if anybody needs anything. Prices are reasonable as well.
