hi mike you could try a scrap yard first possibley as they charge about £150 pound for complete turbo or least were i go any way, with manifold so just a strate swap nice and easy. also you can check to see if there is any play in the turbo before commiting to but it. but it is up to you but...

sounds like a plan cause even if rad is ok you are going one way. better than disturbing the head and saves you some money hope fully:)

just a thought was the engine getting hot up to the point you noticed the oil in the coolant. cause if not it maybe rad has split internally so water n oil mixing that way. as far as getting water out of engine just change the oil a few times and change the filter. it will sort it self out then...

look at turner engineering's web site as they have nearly all the componets for land rover engines up to the td5's plus an uprated crank seal for 300's which i have used on my 300 and they are easy to fit. job done:)
