Its running took a while but cranked with easy start smoked badly for about half hour but now clear and starts again

Yes but not as strong as it was before the gasket change??

Its all back together and now has compression but still WONT START. I give up. I think im going to break it and salvage what i can

Taking the head to be skimmed today the gasket set should arrive tomorrow then ill let you all know if it starts when its done fingers crossed. MOT is out tomorrow

Gaskets gone near 2 and 3

No compression on cylinders 2 and 3 so heads coming off

Checked under the rocker cover and everything is fine. Im gonna have a go at the timing on Mon when im off so any tips and advice would be gratefully recieved. I dont have the timing tools so are they a neccessity or can i make do without. They look like pins from what ive been looking at so...

Like a white to grey colour. Ive never done anything to do with timing before so its a bit scary haha ill see what i can do. Arranged for a local mechanic to come and do a compression test when hes next free if it comes to that

Normal as it hasnt moved anywhere. It needs a waterpump fitting anyway was booked not Sat just gone but Sat before but couldnt get it there as it wouldnt start the Weds before

AA bled the system through the injectors yesterday. Any way to do a compression test myself? Or is it a garage job. Im pretty close to giving up and selling it i know they break for decent money but i havent the time to break it

Yes i re-connected the solinoid

No fuel came through with the solinoid unplugged. No smoke coming out the oil cap when trying to start it. Movement inside looks normal

Intercooler hose clear just light oil round edges inside. Exhaust seems ok ive gone along the whole length of it tapping to make sure its hollow and giving it a shake. No cat on it so its a straight through pipe. Going to see if fuel comes through injector unions in a min with the solinoid...
