    99% of people that could own a defender Would pick that over a Freelander ( including me ) But the hassle that is owning a defender would probably bit you on the arse Pretty quickly

    As others have said, they are not comperable vehicles. You need to decide what you want first.

    I’m not too bad with electrics. I hate the sensors 😂. False alarms or limp mode. My current car is focus mk2 07 TCDI and starting to fall apart. Rust and injector seals leaking. Replaced that but time to think about return to Landrover
