BTW with foot pressure applied to the pedal, it dips a little... also when turning off engine pedal rises a little when foot is on pedal. If that makes sense.

Hi Mark.. DIdn't check the hiss at brake pedal... will do! though today, if there was... what would this mean obviously a leak?? with vacuum pipe removed yes a powerful hiss. 46k genuine mileage.. don't know the brake fluid original colour.. I also have the dreaded flat battery after a few days...

Hello to all contributors... thought I'd check in and give an update.. Further to my brake problem, I have changed 3 calipers shoes and pads, checked the servo which is sucking like a good'un... One way valve into servo good also... My brake pedal is still hard and will not stop the vehicle...

Ok great thank you... the servo vacuum pipe... is hard plastic ribbed going into the servo?... how do I remove it from the servo?
