It might sound daft but how am I supposed to check the automatic transmission fluid, The manual says something about jacking it up and putting it in and out of Drive while filling with fluid, Do you have to do this to check the level of fluid ??? Sounds a bit dangerous to me. !!!!

Not checked oil levels yet, yes was travelling 55 to 60 and the box was changing a lot, sounded like it was changing to top at 55 or locking out at 55 not sure which.

Not checked oil level in the gearbox but will when I can get an able body to assist. and this is the first journey of any significance. Didn't think much of the fuel economy either, reckon it was about 13 to the gallon, Is that normal ??
