I am testing the water really as I may need to sell my 90 soon. Is anyone after a nearly new 90?
It is a Feb 2004 model (53 reg) 90 hard top, TD5. The good bit is it's spec !!
It is a X-tech so as standard from the factory it has:-
County pack/metallic paint
Boost alloys...

I made up two boxes from MDF (about 8" x 11") and fitted 6x9" speakers in them, then put them in the back and wired up. I put the boxes at the back on the wheel boxes under the back windows. The difference is amazing!

If you have it done it's best to declare it to your insurance company.
As far as warranty goes, if anything fails then it has to be that your mods have attributed to the failure for LR to decline the warranty. At the end of the day it's your car, you can fill it with custard if you want...

Famous Four at Louth (Lincs) can do a re-map (chipping) and it gives it a real good increase in power and torque. Then try allard for an intercooler which is supposed to give a 30% increase in power. If you want a bit more change the hoses for silicone hoses. Next would be to get disco gears in...

Get it chipped and get a bigger intercooler
Both mods combined should see 175 BHP or more
Your wallet will be nearly £1000 lighter

What you need for the stereo is a fascia adapter, http://www.autoleads.co.uk/facia.html
Halfords do sell them but they will probably have to order one for a Landy.
On the steps........ the nice thing about Land Rovers is they are like meccano everything just bolts and unbolts so will be...

First thing would be to spray a load of WD40 over your coil/plug leads, plug caps and low tension leads. This drives out moisture and is a moisture repellent. hen I suppose to make a plastic splash guard to shield stuff.
I am not familiar with your engine and engine bay but WD40 is a good...

Thanks, I have now modded it further (3 hrs last night in the LR with a lead lamp held by my son, freezing cold) I have made a bracket out of alluminium and sprayed it satin Black and mounted the sat-nav unit onto the dash to the right of the stereo (left of the speedo binnacle)It can't be seen...

It's fantastic, been grinning all day today while out and about driving it :)
I have been tinkering with it too, fitted a towbal back and front for off-road recovery points, fitted a diff guard. Ordered some leather swivvel gaitors and some 30mm wheel spacers.
Almost ready to get it really...

My mate has a 130 Double Crew cab insured with NFU :)

OK this is what I did:-
Removed the two screws holding the stereo/instrument fascia and lifted up the whole thing and propped it open.
Unplugged the plug that feeds the ciggy socket and scotch-locked into the wires to attatch my sat-nav power supply wires.
I then removed the ash tray...

By the way I soundproofed my last one using thick carpet underlay and that made a big difference, it was cheap to buy too. I cut out the shapes with scissors then I just stuck it down using spray glue from the carpet shop.

Hello
I have done a quick search but not found very much.
Could someone tell me a suitable place to tap into a live feed behind the dash that is live only when the ignition is on?
I want to hard wire my Navman satnav tomorrow.
Thanks in advance :D
