Good morning all
I'm just prepping for my MOT in a month or so and need to replace both front and rear propshafts on my TD5 Defender 90.
I use Landy pretty much every day but only for on road driving.
I just want a straight replacement and most suppliers stock the Britpart shafts. My only...

Thanks for the replies guys - Ive pretty much done all of the renovation on my Landy myself but the company insist on having the box fitted by a garage - it was done by my local independant and hes also my mate so when they changed it I also got a new drop arm and pipes and chassis bolts etc...

Thanks mate but I think they are going to replace it - just not pay the labour!
Cheers anyway tho

Hi everyone
my Defender td5 steering box was leaking in February this year and I needed to replace it for my MOT. I did some research and went to We Are Diffs in Birmingham. As part of the warranty I got my local independent garage to fit it.
It has started to leak from the front of the box...

Hi mate I feel your pain.
All that immobiliser unit does is stop the legitimate owner from driving the Landy!
I eventually ran out of patience and removed the immobiliser from the ECU and snipped a wire on the AS10 and now Im free from niggling intermittent starting issues (relating to the...

Replaced the warped front discs and fitted new pads. Also put the correct fitting kit on the pads so theyre not rattling now. Took a lot longer than I thought it would, 5 hours, but thats Landys I guess.

The one I had was the centre core plug just along from the Fuel Pressure Regulator had corrode. Surprisingly easy to to move all the gubbins and get to them. Personally I wouldnt remove the oil dipstick - it does say you need to in the manual but I think that would cause u more pain in the...

Replaced the power steering pipe that had a massive kink in it when I got a refurbished Power Steering box. Not too bad of a job. Had to cut off the pipe with junior hacksaw to get a 14 mm socket over the bolts going into the pump. Wasnt too fiddly in the end.
Whilst I was there I checked the...

Looks the same as my one I did last year on Landy (theres some photos on here if u look). I cant speak higher of the LRM products. I actually went to their factory/business them to pick them up and spent 30 minutes just chatting away - really great people and superb products.
I agree with...

Hi Albert
Nothing too difficult to remove the dash. First tip I would say is take the bloody steering wheel off. I wish I had it would have made it easier. All the screws are pretty obvious and should be easy enough to locate. Its not a tight fit and should come off pretty easily. I must have...

I put a bearmach one on for about £25. Its such an easy job its not worth paying for a genuine one. I usually only do that for things that are a pain in the @rse to fit.

Replaced the rear door hinges on Landy as she was rattling everytime we went over a bit og gravel :-)
Now even though I have pretty much replaced everything on Landy over the last 3 years I fell in to the trap of watching youtube videos of how easy it is - BIG MISTAKE.
Every bolt door side...

Hi Everyone
I topped up my fluids the other day and since then Ive noticed that ive a small drip coming from the top plug on the rear diff. When I took it off there wasnt a washer or rubber seal so I thought this this might happen. Ive looked on my go to parts website www.lrworkshop.com but...

If its leaking I wud pour in some brake fluid. Will swell the seal and stop the leak. Thats if the box is working ok.
I have just replaced the box on my Landy and should have tried that first. My mate swears by it. Dont shoot the messenger !!
