Hi there, can anyone help me I need to source 4 feet (locking or otherwise) for my aluminium black roof tray or rack. The rack is around 5’ 6” by 3’ and has flat floor rails with its own bars but no feet.
Thanks in advance
Andy

No problem many thanks for all your help. I will check out the sellers on eBay and ask them. Speak later.

Thanks both that’s extremely helpful. Does the i930 identify the FBH faults as it does not specify this in the specs? I did some time ago download the webasto software but have yet to purchase the cables. Mostly this was because I wanted to see if the icarsoft route was better. I’m really...

Thanks yes I have viewed the YouTube vids the larger version does offer more I think. I wondered if these units check glow plugs.
Have you had any dealings with the FBH on the discovery? Currently mine is non op in cold weather although it has once kicked in one morning showing the tell tale...

Re the icarsoft, there two versions the larger and more expensive (£130) will analyse extra fault codes. The most important of these I think is the electronic parking brake. Do you think it’s worth buying the L322 scan tool or the cheaper i930 at £95?

Had it tested and gas filled today. It’s enough to freeze you now. Let’s hope it lasts. Thank to you all I will remember the advise if more work is needed. Cheers

That’s amazing really grateful for the info. I was thinking about buying the icarsoft diagnostic but was not sure it would show air con. Lynall thanks you’ve saved me a lot. I think I will give the screwdriver method a miss. Cheers gstuart knowing the code is half the battle. Many thanks for the...

Look thanks very much that’s a real help. I will go for the re gas first. Do you know if the LR diagnostic equipment would flag up faults if the re gas does not help? Also is it worth checking the relay? Cheers

Hi, has anyone had air conditioning issues with the disco3? There appears to be no refrigerated air (only cold air) when maximum cold (blue notch) is selected and the system is operating in “auto” mode. The heating and vent system is working fully and in higher temperatures quite well. No work...

Just checking the icarsoft you have is that the i930? It’s the smaller one around 5 inches by 2 not the larger laptop version which has rubber grips each side?
-
Thanks I have seen this on eBay will give it a go. The reason I mentioned the Webasto software is it does the same job for free. You just need a KKL adapter to connect a laptop to the loom. Have you heard any reports about this?

Lynall thanks for this. I did find these fixes on other forums and I’m working on ways to start FBH before engine start. Trouble is at the moment my FBH is not running. Tried fuse so far seems to be getting power. Not looking forward to a full overhaul. Thought I might use the Webasto software...

Brilliant help from all three of you cheers. I didn’t know that big diesels don’t have glow plugs. It looks like garaging in winter is all I need to do. I will check the plugs supply in situ though. Thanks all

Can anyone tell me if it’s ok to leave the old glow plugs in rather than replace them? The engine is a 2.7 diesel with 176 k on the clock. Runs like a new engine, when garaged starts first time, sweet and tight just had belts replaced etc. Thinking about using a controller with the FBH to help...

Thanks both and yes I sort of thought that it’s best left alone. At least it works. Cheers
