Thanks again for the advice - just loosing the light here so will have to be a job for first thing tomorrow. Its the wife's motor and she has just informed me she heard a clunk early when turning the front wheels to park up - so I'm think CV joint

Well - Front prop shaft spins when D or R selected in Diff Lock Low and High. So I'm assuming that the issue is front axle related and best place to start is with the CV joints and work my way inward towards the front diff?

Half shaft within the Transfer box?

Hi Have an V8 Disco 1 with an Auto gearbox in it. Appears the transfer box on High / Low and failed and won't drive, BUT will drive with Diff Lock selected. Any ideas welcomed Cheers Dave

thanks for replying Think the immobiliser is working ok as the security key symbol light on the instrument panel does go out ok. I'm also sure I can hear a relay clicking as well, presume this is the starter relay. Wasn't sure you could bridge the inhibitor or not - is this simply an open...

Have a V8 Disco 1, 3.9 EFi and it will not turn over. :mad: So far I have done the following; 1: Ensured the Idle Stepper Motor is Working and Clean 2: Replaced the starter (was having solenoid issues too) I'm thinking start inhibitor switch on the ZF Auto gearbox. Can anyone give me any...
