Hi…I have a ‘W’ reg Freelander 1.8 and I can’t get either of the back seats to go down. You can pull the leaver on the back of the seats but it doesn’t release the mechanism. Does anybody know how I get to the mechanism to sort it out? Cheers Gary

The diagnosis is there is a tooth off the Crown Wheel and Pinion. Is this easy to change or is it not worth doing. Should I replace the IRD?

Thanks guys. Would I be correct in saying - if you disconnect the prop shaft and it still makes the clunking noise it’s NOT the ird that’s at fault?
