I think that I might have found the problem....The horn has not worked very well, it worked, but was VERY quite, I removed the fuse related to the horn and hey-presto it appears to have stopped the battery drain problem! I have no idea why or how but surely this couldn't just be a co-incidence...

Thanks for your reply Dave, It looks quite difficult to get to though, (45 mins quoted to change the FSR so I would think its going to be about the same time to get to the plug)? is there a fuse I could pull out from behind the glove box that would do the same job? Do you know if fuse no.12...

I have fully charged it since It's been on as it went completely flat due to it's draining problem. I shall be charging it again tomorrow, but only after I've checked it's voltage (to see if it's dropped any more now that I've removed fuse #12) Thanks for your advice.

Having looked at a whole lot of posts on this subject it would appear that it could well be that the 'Final Stage Resistor' needs replacing, as the little fan behind the top section of the cener console did not seem to turn off! My question is, if I remove the fuse no.12 and monitor the battery...

Battery is brand new, 1 week old! (and recommended by Tanya batteries for Range Rovers) And I have tested the output of the alternater and it shows around 14.00 volts when engine running.

Thanks for getting back to me, appreciated! Do you know if the number 12 fuse (10amp) is only related to the controls in the top half of the center console (and the heater controls and related fan behind it) or if it also serves other electrical items? I've taken the no.12 fuse out the battery...
